I attended the guest speaker session, who is women entrepreneur, her name is a Deepali and she is from basically Maharashtra. First she worked as a lecture, but she left lecture post because she thought lecture post like a clerical work, her goal was very big. Then she came to the Hubli. Here she started the web dreams. services of web dreams are web development, web design, and web space. She told honesty,Sincerity, and hard work are very important in during the business. And also she told don't do the plagiarism, whatever you do that is only your own.I liked her self-confidence and courage. She faced lot of challenge in her life.

Gender module:

Gender module is very important. This module I learned about difference between sex and gender. Sex is a biological characteristics and it is a natural. And gender means relations between male and female which is created by society.
Gender had different meaning in different societies, culture, races, and countries. We are not born with gender but we learn it and gender is a social construction. During this module I learned new things. Gender is created by society, like caste, marital status, age, education, class, race, and culture. Indian are following different types of culture, like girls cannot go outside in the night and girls must and should wear the bindi.
Gender is impact on people behavior, thoughts, and dreams. Society made so many differences between male and female. Male have all opportunity but female don’t have any opportunity. Male dominate the female, like rape and dowry death.
Women are not getting freedom. They can’t lead their life, because of gender. Women are facing so many problems. If woman raped by men she didn’t give police complete, if she gave police complete society will not respect her. Lastly I came to know the, to avoid the male domination and discrimination in society.

5K CHALLENGE

It was good experience for me. My 5K challenge partner was a Ramachandra. It was very different to compare to an entrepreneur activity.  First we went APMC, from there we brought onion and potato, but that day we didn't sell product, because that day no any market, that’s why we sold tea. During this time I learned about convincing to people.
Second day we went Keshapur market. There we sold very well, during that I saw different attitude customer. We handled customer and products. I had good experience for there, I first time ate on the road, without shy. Some customer told you are not looking like a merchant, that time we told we are a Deshpande foundation fellow; this is our one task, that’s why we are doing this one, this only learning purpose. There we got good profit. That day we calculate the profit. And I learned how to handled investment and profit.
Third day we brought the vegetables and went to the Vidyanagar. There we sold vegetable, first time no one purchased our vegetables, and daily customer didn’t give the place, that’s why we exchanged three time our place. After that we selected two places. One place I sat and another co-fellow sat. During that we got good profit.
Totally I learned about bargaining skill, patience, negotiation, proper planning, time management, customer need and marketing strategy.
