THE INTEGRATED HANDLOOM CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GADAG


This sponsored by the development commissioner. The Gov of Karnataka is undertaking this project. The development, commissioner (handloom), minister of textiles, Gov of India, New Delhi, and the Karnataka handloom Development corporation limited, have jointly established the “common facility centre” and “Dye House” under the Integrated Handloom Cluster development program Gadag at KHDC weavers colony, Narasapur, Gadag-Betgeri.
Some facilities and services:
  • Dying of cotton and silk yarn facility.
  • Supply of yarn through yarn depot mill Gate price and at all small quality, as required by the handloom weavers, established in common facility centre.
  • Handloom for development new Sample products.
  • Computer added textile design facility for development of new design.
  • Dyed yarn testing facility.
Common weaving and training centre:
                  Under this they are using Jakarta machine, through this they makes design. They are giving payment per worker 150-200 rupees. They are making pillow cover, blanket, and bedsits.
