Creative innovative class by Radhakrishna Nayak

                          On 21 July I attended guest speaker session by Radhakrishna Nayak. Being creative is very important.Whichever things like common, creating new things. Firstly Sir told creativity is ability. It is the ability to generate new ideas by combining,changing,or reapplying existing ideas. Secondly it is attitude of the person. willingness to play with ideas and possibilities. And thirdly it is a process. It is a continues process of change.Creative people work hard and continually to improve ideas and solutions.

Characteristics of the creative personality: 

  •  They work smart and energetically
  • Discipline or responsibility 
  • They are independent 
  • They are passionate about their work 
  • They don't fear
  • They enjoy the challenges 
  • They see problems are opportunity  
          Lastly I came to know the whatever I think differently, and work creatively.                                       

Skype session by M.K.Chaudhary

                       Jaipur Rugs started by the M.K.Chaudhary.He started unique business module. First he stared in his home in Rajstan. Initially he faced the challenge working with tribal people. Now he developed leadership and entrepreneurial skills.Rugs is doing manufacturing and handicrafts.  It is making the life of women weavers and helping the poor people.He also found the carpet industry. He told carpet learning duration is a 3 month. His motivation is to make money. He told we will change our self, knowledge is a power, and we will learn through the small people also. Totally I felt very happy. I am also want to do work in Jaipur Rugs.His future goal is to develop the people.

Charaka Organization

              Saturday I went to the Charaka Organization with my co-fellows. Charaka is in Bhimankone village, Sagar Taluk of Shivamoga district. Prasan sir is founder and director of this Charaka. It produces naturally  dyed cotton garments. Its is helping to the rural unemployed women. It produce the clothes and it is selling these in big cities under the Desi. There I saw the processing of clothes. I visited to the dyeing unit, dryer unit, Charaka Pre loom and post loom, storage unit, and warping unit. Charaka have good co-ordination staff. Charaka is using natural resource. It is providing all kind of facility to the workers for example- PF, food, and bonus. And also it is providing education to children. Totally I felt very happy.

Professionalism

                       On 13 July I attended Chaira guest speaker session, she is coming from Italy. And she is working in a development sector. She taught about Professionalism.Through her session I learned about professionalism is very important in during the job. How to respect everyone, punctuality, learning, and keep going confidence is very important. Punctuality is a sign of respect, and also it shows that we are committed and responsible.She said you have to maintain time and take your own responsibility about your work. I learned about responsiveness, interest, and involvement are important in our professional life. whatever we do, there we have make our own contribution. Challenging our self, find new energy to do our job, controlling our emotions, be positive, and be honest in our professionalism. Totally it helped to me to understanding a job environment and professionalism.

Guest Speaker session by Shakar


                                     I attended guest speaker session on 13th July. Shakar Sir taught about Language of money. Under this he taught about balance sheet, profit and loss, and ratio analysis. Company produces the balance sheet, profit, and loss statement. The company produces the profit and loss, but it is not produce the shareholders.
                            Left side balance sheet is called capital and liability. Share holders also called promoter. Capital liability is called source of fund. Equity is nothing but shares. Two type of share holder fund- equity and retain earning. Borrowing is called loans. Fixed capital is a long term loan. Two types of borrowing- short term and long term borrowing. Short term loans also called current liability.
                                    Equity and resource is called Net worth. Company raised money is called source. Two types of assets- fixed asset and current asset. Return money is called depreciation striate line value method and return down value method. Current assets are inventory, which are not sold. EBIDTP is an “Earnings before interest depreciation tax profit”.

Guest speaker session by Abhay

                     I attended Abhay Sir guest speaker session. Abhay is one of the social worker and activist. He completed Engineering course. Earlier time he worked in multinational company for Bangalore. Now he is working in development sector.When he came to Rayachur, that time he didn't know about Kannada. After that he learned. He found the Rayachur is most background district. Most of the women are involving in Devadasi Paddati, Especially Schedule caste women. When he interacted with them, that time they told about their problem. For example- their economic condition is very bad, shelter, untouchability, violence on women.He found Nava jeevan mahila okkoot in Raychur. They are giving awareness through this.And also they established Child Activity Center. Its main purpose is a to do personality of children, it build up children confident. Infosys Company is giving to money to their children education. They are supporting all kind of people children education. Community people are getting job through the NREGA. Abhay Sir session motivated me to do job in development sector.

ECO-TOURISM

                  Eco-Tourism is one of the module for me. Eco-Tourism means Eco-friendly with travelling, or Eco-Tourism is responsible travel to the natural areas that protect the environment and improve the welfare of the local people. It gives maximum benefit to the local people, because tourist pay the money, through the entrance fees, parking fees, home stay, and markets for local products. Eco- Tourism is total become Producing income generation activity and protecting wild animals.This money is going to protect the nature, but it affects of hotels and other infrastructure by using Eco- friendly materials and environment.
Types of the Eco-Tourism:

  • Nature of Tourism: (National park, bird watching,and water falls)
  • Medical Tourism:( yoga, meditation,music and classical dances, traditional medicines)
  • Cultural Tourism:(Local costumes and traditions, tribal lifestyles).                                                                                                                      During the Eco-Tourism what are the things carry is important. Those things are cap,personal medication, first aid kit, water bottles, snacks, sleeping bags, pocket notebook and pen, and candles.

Guest speaker

I attended the guest speaker session, who is women entrepreneur, her name is a Deepali and she is from basically Maharashtra. First she worked as a lecture, but she left lecture post because she thought lecture post like a clerical work, her goal was very big. Then she came to the Hubli. Here she started the web dreams. services of web dreams are web development, web design, and web space. She told honesty,Sincerity, and hard work are very important in during the business.And also she told don't do the plagiarism, whatever you do that is only your own.I liked her self-confidence and courage. She faced lot of challenge in her life. 

Gender module:



                 
                           Gender module is very important. This module I learned about difference between sex and gender. Sex is a biological characteristics and it is a natural. And gender means relations between male and female which is created by society.
                          Gender had different meaning in different societies, culture, races, and countries. We are not born with gender but we learn it and gender is a social construction. During this module I learned new things. Gender is created by society, like caste, marital status, age, education, class, race, and culture. Indian are following different types of culture, like girls cannot go outside in the night and girls must and should wear the bindi.
                         Gender is impact on people behavior, thoughts, and dreams. Society made so many differences between male and female. Male have all opportunity but female don’t have any opportunity. Male dominate the female, like rape and dowry death.
Women are not getting freedom. They can’t lead their life, because of gender. Women are facing so many problems. If woman raped by men she didn’t give police complete, if she gave police complete society will not respect her. Lastly I came to know the, to avoid the male domination and discrimination in society.

5K CHALLENGE


               It was good experience for me. My 5K challenge partner was a Ramachandra. It was very different to compare to an entrepreneur activity.  First we went APMC, from there we brought onion and potato, but that day we didn't sell product, because that day no any market, that’s why we sold tea. During this time I learned about convincing to people.
                    Second day we went Keshapur market. There we sold very well, during that I saw different attitude customer. We handled customer and products. I had good experience for there, I first time ate on the road, without shy. Some customer told you are not looking like a merchant, that time we told we are a Deshpande foundation fellow; this is our one task, that’s why we are doing this one, this only learning purpose. There we got good profit. That day we calculate the profit. And I learned how to handled investment and profit.
                    Third day we brought the vegetables and went to the Vidyanagar. There we sold vegetable, first time no one purchased our vegetables, and daily customer didn’t give the place, that’s why we exchanged three time our place. After that we selected two places. One place I sat and another co-fellow sat. During that we got good profit.
                    Totally I learned about bargaining skill, patience, negotiation, proper planning, time management, customer need and marketing strategy.

MOVE MODULE:


MOVE means ‘Market Oriented Value Enhancement”. It is an income generating activities for the poor, landless, and illiterate people. It is focusing on marketing activities. Entrepreneur should identify the customer need and wants. Move process begins with motivation.
Move Modules:
  • Motivation Games:
This module includes goal setting game and tower building game.
  • Orientation to the markets:
Through this introduce the markets, understanding the difference between a product and a service.
  • Simulation Games:
This includes wedding card game/buying and selling.
  • Needs and wants:
  • Market strategy:
Through this trainees understand the competitors, investment, cost and other inputs.
  • Eatery Game:
Here they gave 500 rupees, that time we did market.

Lastly when we start business, that time we must and should know the promotion, where we are selling, who our customer is, how we are selling, and how much cost is important.

APREETA DAIRY MILK HARTI


Apreeta is one of the dairy milk in Harti. This is having 100 buffaloes and 100 small buffaloes. Total it is having 200 buffaloes. There totally 10 workers, they came from the Haryana, they are getting good salary, per month 6000 Rs. They sold milk in Gadag; per liter rate is a 40 Rs. Daily every buffaloes gave 8-10 liter. They are doing livelihood activity.


AGRICULTURE SCIENCE FOUNDATION HULKOTTI:


                        It established in 1980. K.H.Patil is a founder. It is working on overall development for example- health, agriculture, and education development.
Characteristics of Agriculture droughts in Gadag:
  • Probability of agriculture, droughts-70-80%
  • Erratic rainfall with uneven distribution
  • Problems caused by Recurring Agriculture droughts in the distribution:
  • Resource poorness
  • Crops failure, reduced yield
  • Under unemployment
  • Migration
  • Promotion of rain water harvesting structure
                      This is having partnerships with the Zilla panchayath and Deshpande foundation.


Activities of the Agriculture science foundation:
  • Awareness camps training program, Seminar, exposure visits, and compartment bounding activities.
  • Vocational trainings to overcome under employment.
  • Training for the income generation activities initiated by landless SHG.

THE INTEGRATED HANDLOOM CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GADAG


This sponsored by the development commissioner. The Gov of Karnataka is undertaking this project. The development, commissioner (handloom), minister of textiles, Gov of India, New Delhi, and the Karnataka handloom Development corporation limited, have jointly established the “common facility centre” and “Dye House” under the Integrated Handloom Cluster development program Gadag at KHDC weavers colony, Narasapur, Gadag-Betgeri.
Some facilities and services:
  • Dying of cotton and silk yarn facility.
  • Supply of yarn through yarn depot mill Gate price and at all small quality, as required by the handloom weavers, established in common facility centre.
  • Handloom for development new Sample products.
  • Computer added textile design facility for development of new design.
  • Dyed yarn testing facility.
Common weaving and training centre:
                  Under this they are using Jakarta machine, through this they makes design. They are giving payment per worker 150-200 rupees. They are making pillow cover, blanket, and bedsits.

Agastya International Foundation Hubli



                  
It is creative, knowledge and learning foundation.  Children are managing natural resources. That foundation staff gather the community members, aware about science, and then they promote their children. There is imperial learning also happen. There is science based learning is happen, many more research learning they were open, and also Mobil lab is major program. They worked under Govt of India. They are giving training to related science, leadership, computer skills, and to bring them science and technology. Its main body is in Bangalore and campus in Hubli.

The Teacher Foundation


It teaches learning schools, and its run by Sharadha trust. They are conducting Teachers training sessions, group discussion, time management and discipline, and this training is going on three month. They are visiting schools and observe the schools. They teach to the students, they make students groups in class, black board activity based teaches and to empower teachers. Totally they are indirectly train students through the teachers.

Rapid NGO

It is one of the women empowerment NGO. It is started in 2001 and its founder is a Vijay Kulakarni. It is served the women distress situation, handicap, harassment women. And also it is doing the emotional counseling, skill development training, employment, self employment training, and scholarship to their children. Totally it rehabilitates women in distress. They are doing culture, economic, and emotional counseling. They will teach marketing skill, handicraft, fashion, and computer training.

Bhoraka charitable Thrust


                  Jyanjyoti School is one of the HIV parents children school. They are teaching life skill, computer education, maths, science, and stage courage. They build children capacity. And its focus on the sex worker children and back word community people children. They are giving good environment, nutrition food, and hygiene for each child. After the class they should get food, breakfast, and they are play there only. Totally they avoid whoever stigmatizes and discrimination. Their objective is to avoid a home environment. They are conducting parents meeting. Weekly they will arrange the guest speaker session and dancing class.

Guest speaker session Sanjukulkarani

                    Balabalaga is one of the school. This school in Dharwad. Education is a process of bringing a personality. During the primarily stage it was started creative education. It is a balaga of children. The school started as a school only 3 children. At the end year children number become 12.Know that school 300 children. They have own campus. Know there 1-10 classes started. Their main objective is a to make education as joyful, creative, and experiential as possible. This school is a activate oriented. Medium of instruction. child of learn as much as their mother tongue. In that school per class 30 students.They don't have uniform, they address their teacher's Sir/Madam. Teachers are very close with students. They are lots of environment and culture related activities. Every year they have children festival and sports. Children have all opportunities and no bakery item allowed in school. Agastya Foundation is helping very big for Baal Balaga. That school children have equal opportunities in school, not gender discrimination. These all are a experiment in creativity.            

Guest speaker

Guest speaker class; his name is a Hemal Desai. He is a Chief operating Officer of Mayor Hotel, earlier time he was a Co- Coordinator of Mayor hotel, and also he working with a safe -hand. Mayor hotel is a service oriented industry. It is giving all services for example-hotel, banking, railways. Totally it is providing hospitality to the guest and customer.
                          It is one of the employee largest industries. A Mayor hotel keeps growing and also its services growing. He told you should understand first customer or employee then you should work with them. If we want to sell anything first we sell ourselves is very important. And I learned about the 80-20 rule. It is an 80 of our business is coming from our clients.
                          Whatever our business move that time people communication is very important. If we create one small mistakes, that will create lots of problem. When we are working in business that time we should have enthusiasm and energy also very important. During our business interest and learn is very important, if we didn’t have any interest and hunger of learn, we didn’t success in our business. Whatever we did, that time we should correct it. Word of mouth means to saying by mouth.
                            Sir told one small story, in that story I learned about “if we do good, good will come to us, if you do bad, bad will come to us”. 
                            Totally I learned about how to communicate with customer and guest. And during the work energy and enthusiasm is very important.

Critical thinking and innovation

Mode of thinking which encourages the development of skills that make a person self relevant and independent. Importance of critical thinking- our involvement in life, our perception of the human experience is influenced by our thinking, it evaluates our own thoughts in disciplined way. Whenever we faced problems that time two minutes silent mediation. Critical thinking is a evidence behind thinking.

Entrepreurial activites

                         During the entrepreneurial activity I learned about bargaining the material, and how to convince the people and marketing skill. 

Leadership activity

I did two leadership activities and two follower activities, at that time I learned about how to communicate with people, how to mobilizing the people and also I learned how to handled the people and children. And here I got good experience.    

Entrepreuerial Motivation and Theory

                     Entrepreneurial work is independent. Two types of  motivator in the world. Internally motivator strongly believe them self, they are very strong. And externally motivator have low self confident. Four types of motivation: power motivation,affiliation motivation, achievement motivation, and extension motivation. Entrepreneurial daily not want same, they want change. Two types of locus of control, external locus of control and internal locus of control.
  • External locus of control: This kind of people don't change their position, they not take responsibility, and they blame others.
  • Internal locus of control: They are quick innovative, high self confident, they looks opportunities, and some time they have over confident, they don't blame others, and they are believe them self. 

Education

During education module I learned about department of education. For example- Department of Public Instruction, Department of women and child development. At present higher education minister is an Mr.Ramdas and primary education minister is a Kageri.  I learned about which Universities in state level, central level, Open University, and deemed university.
                  And I learned about Innovation in education. Innovation is within the system, innovation done by department of education, innovation done by outsider, and innovation takes place outsider. Threeth School is having a Nali-kali. Now it is improved because of teacher effort.  Nali Kali is only applying 1-3 Stranded students and 4-7 stranded is a Kali Nali. First it is started in Hegandevankhotti. During 1999-2000 it distributed 6 districts. For example- Dhavangeri, Tumakur, Belgaum, and UttarKannada. Nali Kali means Children related training centre, it include self learning, happy learning, and self speed learning. Nali Kali is learning without Burdon, learning letters in the group, while mastering complete 49 alphabets, simple and clear and clear learning in 2 stranded, and teachers feel, Nali Kali increase their work load.    



Health

                           Health is a state of complete physical, mental, social, and spiritual well being and not merely absence of disease. Public health means to identify the community need, to identify community problem, and how will solve it. And global health means the science and art of protecting and improving the health of global through education, promotion of healthy life style, and prevention of the diseases. Major global health actors like- WHO, International Health Central Organisation, read-cross, and world bank.  

Agriculture

             Agriculture is not only field, it related to animal husbandry. Sustainable agriculture is that kind of agriculture which deals with conservation, development, and proper utilization of natural resources, to meet the present and future needs.Natural resource are the soil, water, and bio-diversity. I learned about farmer field school. It is season long process, it is running on without wall, and it solve the farmers problems. It stared in 1989. Women and men farmers involved this school. During the this module we played game experiment, this game I learned whatever we do there our own experiment is very important, than only we become perfect. Agriculture Eco-System Analysis have three methods, those all like these- observation, analysis, and decision making.

RTI AND RALLY

                  RTI passed and implemented in 2005. RTI means within 45 days we get information, it is big weapon, it control the corruption, and RTI is intended to bring about more transparent and ethical decision making. Government means nothing but system given by a set of rules and regulation.Information means any material in any form, and it is including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, logbooks, and reports.
Sue- moto means "on its own motion". And I learned how to write application to the public information officer.Information seeker is a people. First appeals is a "head of the department" and second appeal is a " information commission".
                 During the RTI rally I learned how to convince villagers and how to fill application. This is good experience for me, because I and my co-fellow did the skit, and we did the fund-raising activity.

Effective Communication

             Effective communication is very important for the social entrepreneur. Communication is  a process of sharing ideas, feelings, and thoughts. Under the communication two types, written communication and verbal communication. And also I learned three types of communication people in our society, those all are a passive communication,aggressive communication, and assertive communication.
  • Passive communication : Whoever have this communication. They are failing to their feelings their honest feelings, they have feeling, but they didn't express. They have control anger so many days and they avoid conflicts.
  • Aggressive communication: Whoever have this communication, they are very dominate people, whatever they say that's right, their relationship is weaker.
  • Assertive communication: These people are win to win kind of situation. They understand each and every one. They listen other word. 

Village stay


                 During the village stay I learned about to understood village people, to worked with them, understood village people problems, understood villagers opportunity, and  how to applied PRA tools in village. I learned about these all things. And also I learned  about how to communication with villagers, to mobilizing people, patience, adjusting with their environment, time maintains, and to understood their culture.
Experience:
   
                   This village study is good experience for me. Our group organized people, and facilitate them, I handled all people. I build relationship with them and I identify of the real problem of people. I am first lived in another house. There I adjust with them.


PRA



    During the PRA session  I leaned about PRA is a methodology to find out problems and opportunity in rural area, implement, and design it. How to  working with people. Steps of the PRA. Mapping of the PRA. Under the PRA tools mapping, seasonality studies, transects walk, Venn diagram, and time line. PRA is very important, because it develop a local perspective, to understand village environment basis of villages criteria, it develop rapport with villagers, and it help to understand real problem of the villagers. And  I learned about felt need and un felt need. Whatever we need that is felt need and those needs we don't want that is unfelt need. During the PRA module I participated in skit. My experience was group work and making charts and presentation.
